연애에는 시작이 있듯이 이별이라는 끝이 있으며, 우리는 언제나 새로운 사랑을 함으로써 지난 사랑을 지우려 한다...

우리가 연애를 이야기할 때 예쁘고, 설레며, 마냥 아름다운 사랑의 시작부터 이야기하는 것은 어쩌면 반칙이다.

왜냐하면 '연애의 시작'은 언제나 구질구질한 '연애의 끝'과 마주하고 있기 때문이다.

그 구질구질한 연애의 끝이란 연애를 할 때 보다 그 사람을 더 많이 생각하는 시간을 건너

울음과 분노, 억울함과 미안함 속에서 허우적거리는 자기혐오의 시간이다

그리고 그 시간이 끝날 때가 되면 언제나 새로운 사랑의 설렘과 조우하게 된다.

어쩌면 지난 연애가 끝나야 새로운 연애가 시작하는 것이 아니라,

새로운 연애가 시작해야 비로소 지난 연애가 끝나는 것일지 모른다.
